Founded in 1996 by partners Damon Kendall and Ronald Welch, the company expanded in 2007 with the addition of Charles Tardanico, former owner of East Bay Builders in Osterville. The principals are involved in every project, personally overseeing the construction of each home.

Kendall & Welch is a full-service construction company specializing in custom homes, renovations, and additions, with extensive experience navigating Cape Cod’s complex zoning, floodplain, and regulatory requirements. Our work also includes commercial construction, interior build-outs, backup power solutions, and property management.

Our process is intentionally hands-on and relationship-driven, allowing room for creative problem-solving and thoughtful customization throughout the project.

Kendall and Welch is deeply rooted in family.

Damon Kendall learned how to build homes alongside his father in Kansas in 1978. Ron Welch built his first home in 1985 and learned the precise craft of building from his grandfather, a skilled finish carpenter. After Damon moved to Cape Cod, he met Ron on the jobsite where they became friends and co-workers framing and finishing houses. In 1996, Damon and Ron partnered to form Kendall and Welch Construction.

Chuck’s passion for building began at an early age. As a child, he helped in the construction of his family home. After a career as a teacher in shopwork—including serving as Director of Occupational and Career Education—he transitioned to full-time building, eventually founding East Bay Builders in Osterville. In 2007, East Bay Builders and Kendall and Welch merged to form one family. Chuck, Ron, and Damon function as equal partners in Kendall and Welch Custom Home Builders.
